Created in 1985, PETREL is the French leader in the supply of security products for securing documents. Located in France, near Paris, PETREL manufactures and develops 3 main product lines:

• Security inks for all types of printing: Offset, Typography, Flexography, Heliogravure and Screen printing.
• Security Fibers delivered worldwide from security paper manufacturers.
• Security sewing threads used for sewing security documents especially for passports.

In these 3 branches, our know-how is recognized throughout the world.

Most of our inks are custom made for a customer’s specific needs. PETREL offers a constantly evolving range of nearly 5,500 references sold to our customers in more than 60 countries.

Regarding security fibers, PETREL has been a supplier selected since the launch of the Euro by the European Central Bank and our fibers are used in the composition of many paper currencies.

For sewing threads, PETREL is able to offer color and fluorescence combinations that are virtually impossible to copy. In addition, our core dyeing system offers greater fluorescence intensity as well as better light resistance.
