Sympathetic inks
Able to be printed using offset, flexo, gravure and screen printing, these inks are invisible when printed and become irreversibly colored under the action of a reagent supplied with the ink. This allows immediate and rapid authentication.
A toner adhesion lacquer is a reactive transparent ink which becomes visible and fluoresces yellow when the forger attempts to modify the variable information in the document with an ink eraser. This ink is also at the same time slightly fluorescent blue and will fluoresce yellow if moistened.
In addition to these safeguards, this lacquer allows excellent adhesion of the laser personalization on the support: when the forger tries to remove the toner from the laser personalization, for example on a bank check, the adhesion of the laser printing on the media is such that the paper will tear or the print will be so altered that the fraud will become evident.
